In the late 4th century, Ancyra became something of an imperial holiday resort. After Constantinople became the East Romen capital, emperors in the 4th and 5th centuries would retire from the humid summer weather on the Bosporus to the drier mountain atmosphere of Ancyra.

Kocatepe Mosque is the largest mosque in the city. Located in the Kocatepe quarter, it was constructed between 1967 and 1987 in classical Ottoman style with four minarets. Its size and prominent location have made it a landmark for the city. Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque[edit]

Old city, busy high street and Mark Antalya Mall at few min walk. Clean hotel, decent breakfast and friendly staff. We stayed here in winter month while temperature was around 18/19, but hamiş the time to stay at beach resort etc so this hotel burayı kontrol et provided everything needed for the trip to make it enjoyable.

The staff were Burada friendly. The location is 10-minute walk to Markantalya shopping mall and 20-minute walk to Kalechi, a place with narrow allies and beautiful roof tops Italian style near the city harbor. Taking a shower is delight experience due to the water pressure :)
